Fukui's Kaiho no Yu Onsen Opens, Nagakute Onsen GozaRasse Reopens After Renovation

The Onsen & Sauna Resort Kaiho no Yu in Fukui City, operated by User Planning and led by President Daisuke Iwashita, opened its newly refurbished complex on August 3. The facility features a Nordic‑inspired design, high‑concentration carbonic baths, mixed‑gender saunas, a library with over 10,000 volumes, a restaurant serving local dishes, fitness equipment, massage areas and overnight accommodation.

In Nagakute City, Aichi Prefecture, the long‑standing Nagakute Onsen GozaRasse reopened on August 6 after a comprehensive renovation under a PFI contract with water‑treatment specialist Mizupura and its subsidiary GOZA. The upgraded site adds several new sauna types, improves water‑quality systems, and expands dining and relaxation spaces. Mayor Yumi Sato and Mizupura CEO Kōshi Shibata highlighted the project’s aim to boost community health, regional economy, and serve as a model for public‑private partnership in public‑service facilities.
