Fukuoka City adopts EsY Co., Ltd. fig product for hometown tax program

EsY Co., Ltd., a Fukuoka-based femcare brand, has announced that its fermented inner care food product, ‘Watashi no Kohkatsu’, has been adopted as a hometown tax (Furusato Nozei) return gift for Fukuoka City.

The product utilizes non-standard, grade-out ‘Hakata Toyomitsu-hime’ figs from Fukuoka Prefecture. These figs, which do not meet standard retail criteria for fresh produce, are processed into a fruit powder to be used in the fermented paste. The product was developed through extensive interviews with women in their 30s and 40s to address specific self-care needs and previously achieved 553% of its crowdfunding goal.

Available options for donors include various quantities ranging from 10-pack boxes to 12-month subscription plans. The initiative aims to promote local Fukuoka ingredients and support the utilization of regional resources through the tax incentive system.
