Fukuoka to host 2026 Great National Unity Day and Vietnamese Culture Day

The Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka has announced the second Great National Unity Day for the overseas Vietnamese community, scheduled to take place in Fukuoka, Japan, in 2026. The event will also include Vietnamese Culture Day on November 24.

Organized in collaboration with various Vietnamese associations, business networks, and cultural preservation groups, the festival aims to promote the theme of “Great Unity - Integration - Preserving Vietnamese Culture - Towards the Homeland.” The event is expected to attract thousands of participants, including the Vietnamese community from the Kyushu and Okinawa regions, Vietnamese-Japanese families, and international guests.

A key highlight of the 2026 program will be the creation of a “Vietnamese Village” in Fukuoka, designed as a miniature cultural space where attendees can experience and share Vietnamese traditions. Consul General Nguyen Thanh Trung emphasized that the spirit of great unity is essential for helping the overseas community support one another, preserve their language and identity, and integrate positively into Japanese society.
