Fukuoka University athletes excel at 95th All Japan Intercollegiate Athletics Championships

Fukuoka University athletes achieved significant success at the 95th All Japan Intercollegiate Athletics Championships held at Nissan Stadium from September 5 to September 7.

A total of 49 athletes from the university competed, with 11 events resulting in top-eight finishes. Notably, the women's 4x100m relay team—consisting of Rin Shiba, Miyuko Maeda, Rino Iseki, and Awa Yamagata—secured consecutive titles by setting a new championship record of 44.19 seconds.

Individual highlights include Rin Shiba winning the women's 100m with a time of 11.78 seconds, marking her first major collegiate victory. Other notable performances include Miyuko Maeda taking second place in the women's 200m and the women's 4x400m relay team also securing a second-place finish.
