Fukuoka woman arrested for attempted murder at internet cafe

A 33-year-old woman, identified as Kumiko Taniguchi, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident at an internet cafe in Sawara Ward, Fukuoka City.

According to police, the incident occurred around 7:00 PM on October 9. Taniguchi allegedly used a kitchen knife brought from her home to stab a 39-year-old male hairdresser in the abdomen. The victim was transported to a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

The matter came to light approximately 12 hours later when the victim's wife contacted police, stating her husband had reported being stabbed and held against his will. Taniguchi has reportedly admitted to the suspicion, stating she intended to kill the man because of their extramarital affair. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances and the nature of the dispute between the two individuals.
