Fukuoka's Seiryu Park waterfront area opens September 2026

Fukuoka City will open a new waterfront zone in Seiryu Park on September 11, 2026. The development includes the North‑side Promenade, a riverside walking path with benches and a “river‑bed terrace,” and the Bridge Plaza, an open‑air event space on the Spring‑kiss Bridge offering views of the Naka River and surrounding districts. Three take‑out‑only food outlets will launch simultaneously: COFFEE GALLERY (a Kumamoto coffee brand), HELLO BREWERY (an Itoshima craft‑beer brand) on the promenade, and the bakery‑style dacō stand on the plaza.

A larger “South‑side Plaza” is slated for a December 2026 opening, completing the park’s transformation into a mixed‑use leisure and event hub for the Tenjin‑Hakata corridor.
