Fukushima to host Out of KidZania vocational programs in 2026

Fukushima Prefecture, in collaboration with KCJ GROUP, has announced two upcoming editions of the ‘Out of KidZania’ vocational experience program for elementary and junior high school students in 2026.

The ‘Out of KidZania in Aizu’ event is scheduled for November 14–15, 2026, in the Aizu region. The program offers 29 types of job experiences rooted in local industries, including traditional Japanese confectionery making, firefighting, and clinical laboratory work. Participants will earn a local currency called ‘Beko’ to use at designated regional stores.

The ‘Out of KidZania in Shirakawa’ event will take place on October 10–11, 2026, in the Shirakawa area. This program also features 29 job types, such as dairy farming, leatherworking for school bags, and electrical engineering. Participants will receive a local currency named ‘Daruma,’ which is intended for use at the Shirakawa City Industrial Festival.

Both programs aim to foster local pride and interest in regional industries by allowing children to engage directly with the community's economic and social structures.
