Fukushima’s Kitakata Ramen Shop ‘Shokudo Hasegawa’ Opens Pop‑up at Tokyo Station

The renowned Kitakata ramen shop Shokudo Hasegawa, founded in 1982 in Fukushima’s Kitakata city, opened a limited‑time outlet on the first basement level of Tokyo Station’s “Tokyo Ramen Street.” The pop‑up operates until November 23 as part of the station’s “Local Ramen Challenge,” which showcases regional ramen varieties. It follows previous participants such as Miso‑kin and Kumamoto’s Kōrai Ramen, the latter serving over 50,000 bowls in three months. Shokudo Hasegawa’s broth, based on chicken and seafood, has been praised with awards including the Ramen Walker Gold Award (2024‑2025) and inclusion in Tabelog’s East 100‑Ramen list. The venture is supported by Setagaya Co., whose representative Maeshima Tsukasa, known as “Mr. Ramen,” highlighted his personal connection to Kitakata ramen and the shop’s popularity.
