Fukuyama Transporting, Menicon, and Seed launch joint delivery in Kyushu

Fukuyama Transporting, Menicon, and Seed Co., Ltd. have launched full-scale joint delivery operations in the Kyushu region of Japan. This initiative follows a successful pilot program conducted between July 2025 and August 2026.

The collaboration aims to address the ‘2030 problem,’ which concerns future shortages in transportation capacity, and the ‘2024 problem’ regarding driver labor reforms. By consolidating cargo from Menicon and Seed and utilizing Fukuyama Transporting’s logistics network and management expertise, the companies aim to improve loading and delivery efficiency.

During the pilot phase, the partnership achieved a significant environmental impact, reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 48.5% for deliveries to 25 targeted stores in the Kyushu area. The full-scale operation expands the scope to include customers of both Menicon and Seed in the region, with deliveries originating from the Menicon West Japan Logistics Center.
