Fulda Marathon sets new participation record

The 31st Fulda Marathon set a new participation record with 3,199 runners competing in various disciplines under ideal weather conditions. Organized by LG Fulda, the event included a wide range of participants, including approximately 1,200 children participating in the mini-marathon.

Mayor Heiko Wingenfeld officially started the race and completed an 11-kilometer run himself. The event featured ecumenical blessings from both Catholic and Protestant representatives and was supported by over 200 volunteers. To accommodate the races, several streets in the city center and near the stadium were closed to traffic throughout the day.
