Schools in Germany and Switzerland welcome new students
Various educational institutions across Germany and Switzerland are celebrating the start of the new school year with enrollment ceremonies and community events.
In Frankfurt, two new high schools, the Margot Friedländer-Gymnasium and the Stadtgymnasium, have quickly established themselves, with high demand leading many students to select them as their preferred schools. In Schwalmstadt, the newly founded Hephata-Grundschule has begun operations following a decade of planning.
Community support remains a central theme. In Potsdam, the AWO office provided donated school bags and supplies to families to promote educational equality. In Sossenheim, Hessian Minister Kaweh Monsoori attended an enrollment ceremony at the Henri-Dunant-Schule, where officials also emphasized road safety for students.
Other regional updates include the hiring of new social workers for school support in Stockelsdorf and various religious services held in Switzerland and Germany to welcome first-grade students to their new academic journeys.
