Fulham defeat Hull City 1-0 to secure first Premier League win

Fulham secured their first Premier League victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Hull City at Craven Cottage. Alex Iwobi scored the decisive goal in the 33rd minute, following a pass from Sander Berge that led to a deflected shot which beat goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis.

The win lifts Fulham from the bottom of the table, providing relief for manager Alvaro Arbeloa. Despite the victory, Fulham faced late pressure and finished the match with ten men after Ryan Sessegnon received a red card in stoppage time.

For Hull City, the defeat marks a five-match winless streak in the league. Manager Sergej Jakirović expressed intense frustration following the match, describing the team's performance as “the worst since I have been here” and stating that it “looked like men playing against boys.” Hull also faces injury concerns after Robin Vaz sustained an Achilles tendon injury during the contest.
