Gonzalo Garcia joins Fulham from Real Madrid

Spanish striker Gonzalo Garcia, 22, has completed a transfer from Real Madrid to Premier‑League side Fulham. The forward signed a five‑year contract running to the summer of 2031, with an option to extend for a further year. Fulham paid roughly €40 million for 70 % of his economic rights; Real Madrid retained the remaining 30 % and a sell‑on clause.

The move reunites Garcia with former Real Madrid youth coach Álvaro Arbeloa, who is now Fulham’s head coach. Arbeloa, who took charge of the club this summer, praised Garcia’s talent and expects him to bolster the Cottagers’ attack.

In the same window Fulham also secured midfielder César Palacios from Real Madrid for an estimated €8‑10 million, also on a five‑year deal with a one‑year extension option. Both players will be eligible to debut for Fulham in the opening league match against Chelsea on 24 August.
