Full Robotics 2026 showcases human‑centred automation as BYD unveils open‑source humanoid robots
Proxinnov organised the sixth edition of Full Robotics on 11 June 2026 at its pilot plant in La Roche‑sur‑Yon, France. The B2B event gathered 40 industrial and technology firms to discuss how robotics can improve productivity while preserving the role of human workers. Topics included the reduction of repetitive tasks, workplace safety, skill development and long‑term performance gains. Highlights featured an opening talk by Laurent Duthoit, innovation chief at Renault, and live demonstrations of robot solutions.
At the same time, Chinese electric‑vehicle maker BYD announced the launch of an open‑source platform for humanoid robots, positioning the new system as a direct challenge to U.S. developers such as Tesla. BYD’s approach aims to lower development costs, accelerate AI integration and foster collaboration among labs, startups and manufacturers. The announcement underscored ongoing debates over safety, reliability and ethical standards in industrial and domestic robotics, illustrating the growing competitive pressure between Chinese and American players in the fast‑evolving robotics market.
