Fuller Lake Disc Golf Course officially opens in Chemainus

The Fuller Lake Disc Golf Course, an 18-hole facility in Chemainus, has officially opened in the Cowichan Valley. The project utilized previously underused municipal land near the Fuller Lake Arena and the highway.

The development was a collaborative community effort involving the North Cowichan municipality, local businesses, and volunteers. The Cowichan Valley Disc Golf Club contributed thousands of volunteer hours, while the Rotary Club of Chemainus donated the entrance kiosk. Local businesses also provided support to reduce construction costs.

Since last fall, the course has seen significant activity, with data from UDisc indicating over 1,100 players have completed more than 5,500 rounds. Visitors have traveled from across Canada and the United States to use the facility. Loaner discs are available at the Fuller Lake Arena and the Chemainus branch of the Vancouver Island Regional Library.
