Fully Lit and Perfumist secure Group 3 victories

In recent Group 3 racing action, Fully Lit and Perfumist secured notable victories. Fully Lit, trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, won the $250,000 Cameron Handicap (1500m). Ridden by Regan Bayliss, the horse led for much of the race to win by one-and-a-quarter lengths over I’mintowin. This victory qualifies Fully Lit for The Big Dance on Melbourne Cup Day.

Separately, Perfumist, trained by Bjorn Baker, won the Group 3 Tibbie Stakes (1400m) at Newcastle. Entering the race as a $3.60 favourite, the mare was ridden by Rachel King and accelerated clear in the straight to win by two-and-a-half lengths. Perfumist finished ahead of Mareth and Polymnia, marking a dominant return to racing for her new campaign.
