The Câmara Municipal of Funchal unanimously approved a Local Housing Strategy that authorises up to €20 million for municipal construction and rehabilitation projects through 2026. Nationally, Portugal’s Instituto Nacional de Estatística will release first‑quarter housing rent data, noting a 17.8% rise in prices, while the latest banking‑housing evaluation index hit a record after a 16.5% increase in April.
