Funchal hosts ‘Forever Young’ nostalgia party at Jaime Moniz School

The second edition of the ‘Forever Young - The Party’ is taking place at the Pátio do Liceu in Funchal, Madeira. Using the theme ‘Back 2 School’, the event aims to bring together different generations of Madeirans through music and memories from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s.

Following a successful first edition at Forte de São Tiago, the event has moved to the site of the Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz. The musical lineup features historical DJ Ricardo Sousa. This year’s edition also includes a tribute to Carlos Ruas, a DJ and entrepreneur recognized for his influence on the nightlife of Porto Santo.

The celebration is part of the ongoing festivities marking the 150th anniversary of DIÁRIO. The event has received support from various former teachers and school officials, serving as a platform for community reconnection and shared memories.
