Funcom launches Dune: Awakening console editions in Europe, Australia and North America

Funcom announced that the open‑world survival game Dune: Awakening will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on 22 September 2026. The console versions will mirror the PC experience, incorporating all updates released since the PC launch and adding a dedicated single‑player mode, scalable difficulty and extensive UI tweaks.

Physical copies for PlayStation 5 will be sold in retailers across Europe, Australia, New Zealand and North America, while a physical edition for Xbox will also be available. Both physical releases include a limited‑time “Terrarium of Muad’Dib” accessory and a global colour swatch. Digital editions will be offered in standard, Deluxe and Ultimate tiers, the latter providing extra downloadable content, building pieces and armor. Performance mode targets 60 fps on both consoles. The launch also completes the Book One storyline in the console version.

The game’s release follows its PC debut on 10 June 2025 and coincides with the upcoming third Dune film’s theatrical release in December 2026, positioning the console edition as a holiday gift for fans.
