Funcom releases Dune: Awakening on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

Funcom announced at a State of Play livestream that its Dune: Awakening MMO will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on 22 September. The console version will incorporate all recent PC patches and introduces a newly rebuilt single‑player mode with adjustable difficulty and customization settings, delivering the complete Book One storyline and a full PvE experience.

The company also outlined post‑launch plans, including a free update later in the year that will add a new map called the Polar Cap, inspired by the Hagga Basin and set at the pole of Arrakis. These announcements aim to provide a more balanced, immersive and content‑rich experience for fans of Frank Herbert’s universe.
