Fundació Joan Miró hosts Charlotte Perriand exhibition

The Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona has launched the exhibition ‘Charlotte Perriand. Free to Rethink the World’, running until February 28, 2027. This showcase marks the first major exhibition in Spain dedicated to the influential 20th-century designer, exploring the first half of her life and her impact on modern design.

The exhibition features reconstructions of her creations, archival pieces, and items from her collections. It highlights her work in redefining domestic spaces, including her collaborations with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. Notable displays include elements from her 1929 ‘Salon d’Automne’ reconstruction and works inspired by her time in Japan.

Curated in collaboration with the Charlotte Perriand Archives, the exhibition also examines her photographic work and her connection to nature. It serves as the final stage of a tour that previously included venues in Krefeld, Germany, and Salzburg, Austria.
