Fundació UEA launches third edition of Escola d’empresa

The Fundació UEA launched the third edition of its ‘Escola d’empresa’ program on September 2. This training initiative is designed for regional educators, including secondary school teachers and professors in vocational training, baccalaureate, and university levels.

The event brought together businesses and educational centers to discuss generational renewal, talent, and the specific competencies required by the current labor market. Key participants included Joan Mateu, CEO of Labin and president of the Fundació UEA, and Xavier Herreros, general director of Meritem. They emphasized the need to balance formal training with attitude, focusing on adaptability and the desire to learn when integrating young people into companies.

Biologist and neuroeducation expert David Bueno delivered a lecture titled ‘Learning from Surprise: The Surprise of Learning.’ His presentation explored how the brain functions during learning processes, highlighting the importance of motivation and the emotional dimension in educational accompaniment.
