Fundación Canarina opens call for artistic residencies

Fundación Canarina has launched the first public call for ‘La Reposera’, an artistic residency project based in San Miguel de Abona. The program is open to artists from the Canary Islands across all disciplines.

The selected participant will engage in contemporary creative work centered on traditional knowledge related to the rural world. The residency will run for three weeks, from October 2 to October 23, 2026. The foundation will provide accommodation, workspace, professional support, and a gross fee of €1,500, as well as travel expenses within the municipality and between islands.

Applications must be submitted by September 6, 2026. Upon completion, participants can choose to hold a final exhibition at the foundation's facilities or lead a participatory activity with the local community in San Miguel de Abona.
