Fundación CAP releases book on family-school collaboration
Fundación CAP has launched a new book titled “Aprender en Familia: factores clave para una cultura de alianza familia–escuela” (Learning in Family: key factors for a culture of family-school alliance). The publication systematizes 15 years of experience from the “Aprender en Familia” program, which has been implemented across 246 educational communities and benefited more than 67,000 students.
The book provides concrete practices, a self-assessment tool for schools, and results from an impact study showing improvements in student attendance, coexistence, and learning. The launch took place at the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center in Santiago, attended by Chile's Undersecretary of Early Childhood Education, María Cristina Tupper, and the Undersecretary of Children, Marcelo Sánchez.
María José Castro, executive director of Fundación CAP, stated that the work is a collective effort intended to share best practices with other schools and organizations to strengthen the development and learning of children and adolescents through collaborative work between families and educational teams.
