Fundación del Empresariado Coahuilense approves 43 million pesos for social projects
The Fundación del Empresariado Coahuilense (FEC) has approved 43 million pesos in funding for 74 social development projects during its second call for proposals this year. These projects primarily focus on social welfare, including support for nursing homes, orphanages, and health initiatives addressing cancer and heart disease.
Geographically, the Laguna region received 35% of the projects, followed by the Southeast at 33%, the Centro Carbonífera region at 20%, and the North at 15%. Of the total 80 million peso budget, 23 million pesos were allocated in the first call and 43 million in the second, leaving remaining funds for future strategic or community projects.
In a specific application of these resources, the FEC invested 1.7 million pesos to remodel and equip the gerontological gymnasium at the Sabinas nursing home. This renovation aims to improve the quality of life for elderly residents by providing a dedicated space for physical and therapeutic activities to maintain mobility and functional capacity.
