Spain hosts various solidarity races for cancer and leukemia awareness
Various cities across Spain are hosting solidarity sporting events to raise awareness and funds for major health causes.
In Puertollano, over 1,300 people participated in the VI March Against Cancer, organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer. The event included a four-kilometer walk and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque to honor those affected by the disease.
In Orihuela, the tenth edition of the ‘Corre por mí’ race and walk is scheduled for October 18 to mark World Breast Cancer Day. The event aims to support cancer research through registration donations.
Other regional initiatives include the V Corazones Rosas race in Linares to support breast cancer research, and the IV 5K organized by ASOLECAS in Castellón de la Plana to conclude Leukemia Awareness Week. Additionally, Hoyo de Manzanares is hosting a workshop titled ‘Cancer and Exercise’ to educate the public on the benefits of physical activity in cancer prevention and recovery.
