Charity races in Bilbao and Toledo to support cancer and ALS research

Several charity races are scheduled in Spain to support medical research and patient care.

In Bilbao, the Acambi Association is organizing its annual breast cancer solidarity race on October 4. The event, which features a 5-kilometer route starting at the Guggenheim Museum, has already reached 7,000 registrants. Proceeds from the sale of 10,000 planned t-shirts will be donated to the CIC bioGUNE research center to fund studies on tumor resistance and relapse.

In Toledo, the Fundación Eurocaja Rural has presented the fifth edition of its Solidarity Race against ALS (ELA), also set for October 4. The event aims to surpass last year’s record of 5,300 participants and 103,400 euros raised. All funds collected will be distributed among ten different regional associations across Spain that provide assistance to ALS patients and their families, as well as supporting disease research.
