Fundación Gerón invests 4 million euros in Tarifa nursing home

The Fundación Gerón has announced a major investment of between 3.5 and 4 million euros to expand and rehabilitate the San José elderly residence in Tarifa. Following the departure of the Missionaries of the Immaculate Conception, who had managed the site for 139 years, the foundation has acquired the property through an agreement with the congregation and the Bishopric of Cádiz.

The renovation project, designed by RC_R Arquitectos, is expected to take approximately 18 months. It aims to increase the facility's capacity from 68 to 87 places. The project focuses on modernizing the infrastructure and transitioning from an institutional model to a more home-like environment through the creation of smaller, more intimate living units.
