Fundación Gloria Kriete launches CREA platform to boost tech startups in El Salvador
The Fundación Gloria Kriete, together with the Key Institute, has launched the CREA (also referred to as KREA) platform to support technology‑based entrepreneurship in El Salvador. The initiative offers non‑repayable grants ranging from $5,000 to $30,000, mentorship, technical assistance and training to projects at three development stages – seed, growth and scaling – with the application window open until 14 August.
CREA also connects entrepreneurs with networks of experts, investors and strategic partners, targeting sectors such as smart manufacturing, logistics, fintech, food security, renewable energy and creative industries. The programme builds on Fundación Gloria Kriete’s eight‑year record of incubating Salvadoran startups and follows its recent win in the Money Awareness and Inclusion Awards 2026 for entrepreneurship education. Organisers say the platform aims to generate quality jobs and position El Salvador as a regional hub for innovation.
