Fundación Jiménez Díaz leads Madrid hospital patient experience rankings
The National Association of Patients of the Health System (ANPASS) has released a report identifying the hospitals in the Community of Madrid with the best patient experience. The ranking was determined by cross-referencing citizen assessments with official satisfaction indicators and complaints from the Madrid Health Service.
Fundación Jiménez Díaz leads the region with a score of 9.5 out of 10, combining high patient ratings with a 91% satisfaction rate and low complaint volumes. Other top-performing hospitals include Rey Juan Carlos, General de Villalba, Infanta Elena, and Torrejón. Notably, Rey Juan Carlos recorded the highest satisfaction rate in Madrid at 93%, while General de Villalba reported the fewest complaints in the region, at 2.6 per 10,000 acts.
The five leading hospitals in the composite index all utilize a mixed management model involving public-private collaboration. While major public reference hospitals such as La Paz, Puerta de Hierro, and Ramón y Cajal also performed well, ANPASS emphasizes the importance of identifying specific successful practices—such as close patient care, agility, and clear information—to improve the entire healthcare system.
