Fundación ”la Caixa” has maintained its position as the leading organization in Spain for corporate social responsibility (CSR), ESG, and sustainability, according to the 2026 Business Success, CSR, ESG, and Sustainability Study by Advice Strategic Consultants. The foundation has held the top spot in this ranking since the study's inception in 2006.
In 2026, the foundation allocated a record budget of 710 million euros to its social work as part of a 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, which aims to mobilize 4,000 million euros for social transformation by 2030. Other top-performing companies in the ranking include El Corte Inglés in second place and CaixaBank in third. The top ten list is completed by Inditex, Banco Santander, Mercadona, Telefónica, Cellnex Telecom, Meliá Hotels International, and Iberdrola. Experts note that Spanish companies are increasingly implementing concrete and measurable social, environmental, and governance actions in response to societal demands.
