Fundación Paiz launches digital art initiative in Guatemala

Fundación Paiz has launched a new institutional digital art line in Guatemala titled ‘Criptoarte: Territorios Latentes’. The initiative aims to integrate the country into international dialogues regarding contemporary creation, technology, and decentralized communities through exhibition, training, and experimentation.

The exhibition, which runs from September 18 to December 12, 2026, at the Fundación Paiz Cultural Center, features more than 30 international artists. The program explores various technological mediums, including digital art, generative systems, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and decentralized communities.

Supported by the Embassies of France and Germany, the project facilitates connections with international specialists to bring new perspectives to the institution. In addition to the exhibition, the program includes educational workshops led by curators Frank Flux, Albertine Meunier, and Shortcut to provide practical experience in crypto art tools and processes.
