Fundación REDNI supports infants in Monte Sinaí to prevent malnutrition
Fundación REDNI has completed 37 months of supporting mothers and infants in the Monte Sinaí sector of Guayaquil to protect the critical first 1,000 days of life. The initiative aims to prevent chronic childhood malnutrition and foster healthy development from pregnancy through the age of two.
Since July 2023, the project has assisted 152 births by providing nutritional guidance, promoting breastfeeding, monitoring growth, and offering education on childcare and feeding. The program also works to connect families with available local health services.
The initiative is a collaborative effort involving social investment from Papelesa, project management by Fundación DYA, and support from various institutions, including the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Human Development, and the Guayaquil Municipal Government.
