Fundación Sembrar Futuro launches volunteer tutor campaign for Chilean children

The Chilean non‑profit Fundación Sembrar Futuro has opened a recruitment drive, running until 30 July, for volunteer tutors to work with children and adolescents living in residential protection services. Volunteers will lead weekend group workshops for a year, providing stable, socio‑emotional support and helping participants develop confidence, emotional expression and healthy relationships.

The programme targets residents of the communes Lo Barnechea, La Pintana, La Reina and Peñalolén and welcomes people with or without prior volunteering experience. “The emotional development of children strengthens when adults are present, available and committed,” said Darío Ovalle, executive director of the foundation, highlighting the focus on long‑term, continuous mentorship.

Applicants can apply through the foundation’s website before the deadline.
