Fundação Galp launches campaign to donate 1.5 million meals

Fundação Galp has launched the 7th edition of its national movement, ‘Todos os Passos Contam’, setting an ambitious goal to donate 1.5 million meals to families facing food insecurity by November 22.

Since its inception in 2021, the project has facilitated the delivery of 5.7 million meals. The initiative converts physical activity—such as walking, running, cycling, or playing padel—into meals. Participants can register their distance by uploading proof of their activity to the initiative's portal.

The campaign, which operates under the motto ‘Faz bem. E o bem’, is supported by the Portuguese Federation of Food Banks Against Hunger and ENTRAJUDA. In 2025, the project helped distribute 874 tons of food through 2,371 social solidarity institutions, benefiting 349,664 people, including over 119,000 children and youth.
