Ney Matogrosso announces 2027 national tour to celebrate 85 years
Brazilian singer Ney Matogrosso has announced a new national tour titled ‘85 Anos de Ousadia’ to celebrate his 85th birthday in 2027. The tour, produced by 30e and presented by Itaú Live, is expected to consist of ten shows.
The tour is scheduled to debut on January 30, 2027, at Nubank Parque in São Paulo. Other confirmed locations include Curitiba (Arena da Baixada), Recife (Classic Hall), Belo Horizonte (Esplanada do Mineirão), and Rio de Janeiro (Maracanã). Matogrosso emphasized that the tour is a celebration of his ongoing career rather than a farewell performance.
A notable feature of the project is the visual identity, which includes promotional photography by renowned American photographer David LaChapelle. This marks the first time LaChapelle has photographed a Brazilian artist. The stage production will also feature ten recreated historical costumes from various stages of Matogrosso’s career, including a gold version of his 1976 ‘Bandido’ look.
