Funke Akindele targets N5bn revenue for new film ‘The Four’

Nollywood filmmaker Funke Akindele has set a box-office revenue target of N5bn for her upcoming movie, ‘The Four: No One Fights Alone’. The ambitious goal follows a string of commercially successful productions, including ‘Behind The Scenes’, which reportedly grossed N2.76bn.

The film is scheduled for an international premiere in London on November 29 at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, an event that has already sold out. This marks the first time a Nollywood title will premiere at this venue. Following the London premiere, the film will be available in UK cinemas starting December 4, with a Nigerian cinema release set for December 11.

Akindele defended her aggressive marketing strategies during a recent media engagement, emphasizing the need to go global. The ensemble cast includes Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Waje, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, and Ali Nuhu.
