Brazil municipal authorities announce thousands of public job openings
Municipal governments across Brazil have released a series of public contests and hiring notices for 2026. Openings include 20 immediate vacancies in Belo Jardim (PE), more than 300 medium‑level positions in Saquarema (RJ), seven education posts in Canabrava do Norte (MT), and a nationwide IBGE contest with over 1,400 slots. Other announcements cover 12 university transport scholarships in João Monlevade (MG), five major Pará contests, and high‑paying roles in Lagoa da Prata (MG) with salaries up to R$ 21.4 thousand.
Separate employment drives are also being run by agencies such as Funsat, which posted over 1,000 job vacancies on several days, and the municipal labor service (Simm) offering 415 positions in Salvador. Health‑sector recruitment includes a large hiring round at the Hospital Regional of Mato Grosso do Sul (HRMS) for doctors, nurses and technical staff. The deadlines for many applications fall in July and August 2026, with candidates required to submit documentation in person or through online portals.
