FURB recognized as top university in Vale region

FURB (Universidade de Blumenau) has been recognized as the Top of Mind university in the Vale region. The institution has achieved a maximum score in its re-accreditation with the Ministry of Education and is ranked as the third-best university in Santa Catarina by the Folha University Ranking.

Currently, the university serves approximately 8,000 students across 63 undergraduate courses, 11 master's programs, and six doctoral programs. In the first half of 2026, the institution recorded its highest number of new students in a decade, with over 2,200 freshmen. The university also manages approximately 60 extension projects that provide services in health, law, and science to more than 50,000 people annually.
