Furious renewed for second season following breakout success

Hulu has officially renewed the crime thriller series ‘Furious’ for a second season following the conclusion of its first season on August 31, 2026. The announcement, made by star Emmy Rossum via Instagram, comes after the show emerged as a breakout hit, accumulating approximately 372 million minutes of viewership in its first week.

Created by Elizabeth Meriwether, the series follows FBI agent Alice Black (Rossum) as she tracks a methodical serial killer, Catherine Grace (Lola Petticrew). The first season explored themes of trauma, power, and justice, culminating in a finale that revealed the complex history between the two women and the circumstances surrounding the death of Catherine’s friend, Isabel.

While a release date for the second season has not yet been announced, the renewal has been confirmed for international audiences via Disney+. Meriwether has indicated that while a specific plot for the next chapter is still being developed, the series may continue to explore the characters' journeys in new cases.
