Furkan Türkoğlu appointed Turkey coach for Batumi Open 2026

Taekwondo coach Furkan Türkoğlu, who works for the Elazığ Youth and Sports Directorate, has been appointed Yıldızlar National Team Coach by the Turkish Taekwondo Federation. He will lead Turkey’s junior squad at the Batum Open Taekwondo Championship in Batumi, Georgia, scheduled for 28 July – 2 August 2026. His duties include preparing the athletes and providing technical support during the competition. Local officials praised the appointment as a sign of the growing quality of sports development in Elazığ and expressed confidence that the team will represent the nation well.
