Furniture Maker Dies After Bee Sting on Birthday in Isparta, Turkey
On his 51st birthday, a 51‑year‑old furniture upholsterer in Isparta, Turkey, attempted to eliminate a large hornet nest by pouring hot water over it. The insects attacked, stinging him multiple times. He suffered a severe allergic reaction and was admitted to Isparta City Hospital, where he spent a week in intensive care. Despite medical efforts, he died on the day of his birthday.
