FURP faces criticism over removal of influencer during political talk
The Fundación Universitaria del Río de la Plata (FURP) has faced criticism following a controversial incident during a recent event. Libertarian influencer Aarón Flores was removed from a session after attempting to ask a question to former Tucumán Governor Juan Manzur. Reports indicate that while the organizers allowed the scheduled speakers to present, they denied Flores the opportunity to speak, leading him to voice his question aloud before being escorted out.
The incident has sparked debate on social media regarding whether such organized forums serve as genuine spaces for political exchange or merely act as platforms to “shield politicians” from critical questioning.
In a separate activity related to the FURP Seminar País Federal, a panel of legislators met at the Buenos Aires Legislature to engage with youth from Jujuy. The session included Vice Governor Alberto Bernis and several deputies, aiming to provide diverse political perspectives to over 70 participants as part of a program to select scholarship recipients for activities in Buenos Aires.
