Fury-Joshua fight contract forces UK venue, bars Zuffa involvement

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have signed contracts that differ on the fight location. Fury’s agreement with Saudi financier Turki Alalshikh does not require a UK venue, while Joshua’s contract contains an exclusive clause obligating the bout to take place in Britain.

Promoter Eddie Hearn said both contracts list him and Frank Warren as promoters and specifically prohibit any promotional role for Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing entity, despite Alalshikh owning a majority stake in Zuffa. Hearn added that a venue change outside the UK would need renegotiation with Joshua’s camp. Potential US sites such as SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles have been mentioned, but the contractual language currently locks the September heavyweight clash to the United Kingdom.
