Fury vs. Joshua heavyweight fight sells out 80,000 tickets in one hour

The heavyweight boxing match between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, scheduled for December 11 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, has seen massive commercial demand. All 80,000 tickets reportedly sold out within one hour of general sales opening, with over 500,000 fans entering the online queue. Ticket prices ranged from £88.50 to over £13,000.

Heavyweight veteran Derek Chisora, who has fought Fury three times, predicted that Anthony Joshua will win the bout “in style” by knockout. Chisora noted that both fighters have previously lost to Oleksandr Usyk and expects the December 11 event in Cardiff to be “electric.”

The fight is a collaborative promotion involving Turki Alalshikh of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority and UFC CEO Dana White, with Netflix set to broadcast the event globally. While gate revenue projections reach approximately £34 million, secondary market prices for VIP seats have been seen reaching as high as £73,645.
