Fushou Industrial Feed Plant Fire in Taichung, Taiwan

On July 27, 2026, a fire broke out at the Shalu feed plant of Fushou Industrial Co. in Taichung, Taiwan. The blaze started while maintenance staff were replacing a plastic seal in a wash tower, igniting the material and producing thick black smoke. The plant's emergency response team activated fire‑suppression procedures and firefighting units arrived quickly; the fire was fully extinguished by 09:51 a.m. No workers were injured and production at other facilities, including the company's edible‑oil plant in Wuchi, continued unaffected.

Fushou Industrial issued a statement emphasizing that the incident was confined to the wash‑tower equipment, covering about three square metres, and was unrelated to its edible‑oil production lines. The company pledged full cooperation with authorities and said it would review maintenance and safety protocols to prevent similar occurrences.

The incident caused temporary concern among nearby residents due to the smoke, but there were no reported casualties or environmental releases.
