FUT Esports signs Spanish AWPer SunPayus

FUT Esports has officially announced the signing of Spanish AWPer Álvaro ‘SunPayus’ García. The 27-year-old joins the organization following an agreement with G2 Esports, where he had spent the last several months on the bench.

SunPayus will take over the position previously held by 19-year-old Nikita ‘cmtry’ Samolotov, who has moved to the reserve roster. The veteran player brings significant competitive experience to the squad, having previously competed for teams such as Movistar Riders, ENCE, Falcons, and HEROIC, and winning IEM Dallas in 2023.

FUT Esports expects SunPayus to make his debut at the upcoming PGL Masters Bucharest, scheduled for October 24 to 31. The tournament features 16 participants, including teams such as Legacy, FURIA, DENDELE, and 9z.
