Futchi Rokusho Asama Shrine holds special wind‑chime lighting Aug 8, 2026

On August 8, 2026, Futchi Rokusho Asama Shrine in Fuji City will stage a special wind‑chime lighting at 19:00, followed by a calligraphy performance at 20:00. The event features artist Miyakubo Chou and a musical collaboration with DJ U‑DISQO as part of the shrine’s annual Tanabata wind‑chime festival.

The same evening, Kyuizu Shrine in Iwatsuki Ward, Saitama City will host a one‑night “Yoi Mi​ya” festival. About 1,000 wind chimes will be illuminated, mist will create a cloud‑like atmosphere, and a series of live music acts will perform from 17:00 to 21:00. Food trucks and stalls offering burgers, crepes, pizza, and other treats will be on site. Both events are free to the public.
