Futura Editrice cuts deficit with government funding under Meloni

Futura Editrice srl, the publishing house owned by Italy's CGIL trade union and controlled by secretary Maurizio Landini, reported a reduced deficit of €2.631 million for 2025, down from a €4.7 million loss the previous year. Revenue rose to €6.7 million from €2.9 million, while production costs increased to €9.3 million. The financial turnaround was aided by €740,514 of public funds granted for 2023 innovative‑technology investments, provided through an extraordinary fund created by a 2023 decree of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's government. The aid, delivered by the Department for Information and Publishing of the Presidency of the Council, helped stabilise the publisher’s accounts despite Landini’s criticism of the premier during the current legislature.
