Futurama Announces Season 14 and Three New Specials

At San Diego Comic‑Con 2026, creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen revealed that the animated series Futurama will return with a fourteenth season that premieres on Hulu on August 3, 2026. The announcement also includes three extra‑long special episodes, the first of which is a Christmas‑themed special slated for 2027; details on the other two specials were not disclosed.

Returning voice talent includes John DiMaggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Phil LaMarr, Lauren Tom, David Herman and additional cast members. The series is produced by 20th Television Animation, a division of Disney Television Studios, and will continue to be available for streaming on Hulu.

The news was confirmed during a panel where the showrunners discussed the upcoming content and answered fan questions about the new specials, confirming their length and the holiday theme for the first special.
